Complete Engineered Sampling Facilities for Mining and Mineral-Processing Applications
T.K.O Engineering engineers and supplies Go-Belt® Sampling Plants incorporating the required stages of primary sampling, sample transfer, preparation, division and collection for mining and mineral-processing applications.
Each plant is configured around the material stream, sampling duty, process requirements, site conditions and required downstream sample destination. T.K.O Engineering can provide mechanical, structural, electrical and control integration together with installation and commissioning support according to the project scope.
A Go-Belt® Sampling Plant brings the required sampling and sample-handling stages together as an integrated engineered facility. The exact process arrangement is application-specific and may incorporate some or all of the following stages.
Stage 1 — Primary Sampling
The Go-Belt® Sampler obtains a sample increment from the material stream.
↓
Stage 2 — Sample Transfer
Sampled material is transferred through the engineered sample-handling arrangement to the next required stage.
↓
Stage 3 — Primary Size Reduction
Where required, sample crushing equipment reduces material size for downstream preparation and division.
↓
Stage 4 — Sample Division
Where required, sample-division equipment reduces sample mass for subsequent preparation or collection.
↓
Stage 5 — Secondary Preparation
Additional size reduction, division or controlled feeding can be incorporated where required by the sampling duty.
↓
Stage 6 — Sample Collection
Prepared or divided sample material is directed to the required collection arrangement for downstream handling.
↓
Stage 7 — Laboratory Interface / Downstream Analysis
The collected sample can then proceed to the mine or laboratory's required preparation and analytical process for purposes such as quality assessment, process control or metallurgical accounting. Laboratory analysis is downstream of the Go-Belt® Sampling Plant unless specifically included within the agreed project scope.
Depending on the project scope and sampling duty, a Go-Belt® Sampling Plant may incorporate equipment and infrastructure including:
• Go-Belt® Sampler
• Sample transfer chutes
• Sample crushers
• Sample-division equipment
• Vibratory or controlled feeding equipment where required
• Sample collection arrangements
• Structural steel
• Access platforms
• Electrical and control systems
• PLC and HMI integration
• Laboratory or downstream sample interface
T.K.O Engineering can undertake the engineering and integration required to bring the individual sampling and sample-handling stages together as a complete facility.
Mechanical design and equipment integration for the sampler, sample-transfer arrangements, preparation equipment and associated plant components.
Structural integration including support structures, access platforms and equipment-support arrangements according to project requirements.
Application-specific chute and sample-transfer arrangements between the required sampling and preparation stages.
Electrical and control integration for the sampling equipment and associated plant systems according to the project scope.
Control-system integration and programming for coordination of the required sampling sequence and associated equipment.
Site installation and commissioning support can be provided according to the agreed project scope.
Lifecycle support for Go-Belt® equipment including maintenance, spare parts, inspection, refurbishment and technical support.
Go-Belt® sampling technology has been incorporated into engineered sampling-plant applications over several decades.

Vaal Reefs West Plant now forms part of Harmony Doornkop operations.
Central Deep Plant CV-02 now forms part of Sibanye-Stillwater operations.
T.K.O Engineering is the OEM and developer of the Go-Belt® range of representative mineral sampling equipment.
Sampling experience developed across mining and mineral-processing applications over more than three decades.
Mechanical, structural, electrical and control disciplines can be integrated around the requirements of the sampling plant.
Sampling plants are configured around the material stream, sampling duty, process arrangement and site requirements.
Site installation and commissioning support is available according to the agreed project scope.
Ongoing Go-Belt® maintenance, spare parts, inspection, refurbishment and technical support.
A Go-Belt® Sampling System is generally engineered around a defined sampling duty and the equipment required between the sampling point and the required sample destination.
A Go-Belt® Sampling Plant represents a broader integrated facility where the project requires multiple stages of sampling, sample transfer, preparation, division and collection together with the associated mechanical, structural, electrical and control integration.
T.K.O Engineering can work with mine owners, project teams, EPCMs and consulting engineers during the development of sampling-plant requirements, equipment selection, integration and project execution.
For project enquiries, provide available process information, material characteristics, flow conditions, sampling requirements, layout information and project-specific engineering requirements for application review.
